A Holiday Tree in Your Front Yard

 Welcome Willow Glen Neighbors!

In 1950, a Willow Glen holiday tradition of placing a lighted tree in every front yard began and 73 years later, Willow Glen Holidays continues this tradition. Historically, each tree is placed 10 feet from the sidewalk with one white light at the top and large, multi-colored lights throughout. However, you are welcome to decorate your tree to your liking!

Many streets in Willow Glen participate. However, we supply trees only to the following streets:

Arbor
Blewett
Broadway
Buchser

Chabrant
Cottle (Curtner to Husted)
Creek
Curtiss

Settle
Vernon
Warren
Xmas Tree Lane (Palo Alto)

Harmil
Kotenberg/Longley
Laurie
San Andreas (Cambrian)

If you live on one of these streets and are unsure who your Block Captain is, please email us at wgholidaytrees@gmail.com.

How it works:

• Each street has a “Block Captain” who will be accepting all orders for their block. Order forms will be distributed in mid-October.

• Trees cost $28 each.

• Rebar is available for $7 each – this helps secure your tree to your lawn.

• Trees will be delivered Saturday, Dec 2. Your Block Captain will let you know exact time and place to pick up your tree.

• Please return your order form (with payment) to your Block Captain no later than Friday, Nov 3. To keep the process simple, orders will only be accepted through Block Captains.

Proceeds from this year’s Tree Project will benefit Recovery Café in downtown San Jose, a healing community for those traumatized by addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. Please consider contributing what you can when you order your tree. If every neighbor contributes just $15, we will easily reach our goal of $9512.50.
